About Dina Hendrix
Real, Local Knowledge and a Passion for Historic Birmingham Real Estate
Born and raised a Midwestern girl in Minneapolis, MN, I attribute my love and appreciation for historic architecture to my pre-teen years, spent in beautiful family owned historic homes throughout Iowa. My grandmother lived in historic neighborhood in Cedar Rapids, IA and my aunt and uncle, (aunt Marilyn was born and raised in Mobile, AL), lived in the Rock Glenn Historic District in Mason City. Their home was designed by the famous architect, Walter Burley Griffin, who was a protégé of Frank Lloyd Wright's. It didn't take long for me to realize, at a very young age, that I wanted to study architecture and design. And I would later find myself in Birmingham pursuing a degree in Interior Design. My Interior Design degree and background compliments my career in real estate, and my fascination and love of historic homes continues to this day. I love the character and detail found in period architecture and I enjoy working with homeowners and buyers who are equally as dedicated to the history and preservation of Birmingham's historic homes. I love Birmingham, and I am passionate about helping others find their perfect home here. I met my husband and started my family in Birmingham, before moving away to Philadelphia in 2001, and then on to Kansas City in 2006. When our family was given the opportunity to move back to Birmingham in 2009, we were thrilled! Having moved around the country with my husband and young family, I bring a unique perspective and expertise to my relationship with my relocation clients. I know the stresses that are involved with a big move across the country, and I know how to make your transition to Birmingham the best transition you will ever have. Although my passion and expertise are in selling and listing historic properties, I sell homes of all ages in and around Birmingham. My interior design background gives me the ability to offer advice to sellers about home preparation which can also include recommendations on staging services. And my knowledge of each unique community in Birmingham allows me to place my buyers in the perfect neighborhood for their families. I know that buying and selling a home is among the most significant financial and emotional endeavors one can do in life, so I plan each step with you, and I will keep you informed every step of the way. I would love to discuss your real estate needs with you. |
